Dear Friend:

Thank you for your consideration of the Cleft Palate Foundation. We serve over 400 families each month with free information packets to assist them in making crucial decisions.

Cleft lip and/or palate is the most common birth defect in the United States, affecting one out of every 600 newborns. That means over 6,800 babies are born each year with these conditions.

Through this website and the CLEFTLINE (1-800-24-CLEFT), a 24-hour toll-free hotline service, CPF provides callers with:

Educational materials focusing on all aspects of cleft lip and palate for patients of any age;
Contact information for teams of experienced health care professionals in almost every state and many foreign countries;
Referrals to local and national support groups and other appropriate organizations;
Knowledgeable staff members to address parents’ concerns with empathy and understanding.

The cost of these services is over $60,000.00 per year! The total cost of an information packet sent out to families is about $10.00.

CLEFTLINE is supported entirely by tax-deductible contributions. While the information on this website is provided openly, please help us by making a donation of $10.00, $25.00, or more.
